Configuration Options

This lesson covers our flexible deployment options, designed to meet the security and technology needs of any facility.

Standard Configuration: Cloud-Based Deployment

  • How it Works: The Cell-Guardian unit uses a secure cellular connection (not the facility's Wi-Fi) to transmit encrypted data to AWS Secure Portals. The entire system is monitored by SEIM technology to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Key Benefits:

    • Hassle-Free: It does not burden the facility's internal network.

    • Secure: Leverages best-in-class security trusted by government agencies.

    • Always Up-to-Date: Software and firmware upgrades are pushed automatically.

    • Long-Term Storage: Incident data is securely stored for 6 months by default.

Alternative Configurations

For facilities with strict "no-cloud" or "no-internet" IT policies, we offer flexible on-site solutions.

On-Premises (LAN) Deployment

For facilities that want to keep data internal but have a robust Local Area Network, Cell-Guardian can be configured to run on their internal servers.

The RAHM BOX (Self-Contained PC / Edge Unit)

This is the ultimate solution for facilities that must remain completely independent of any network.

  • What it is: A small, self-contained PC that keeps all processing and data on-site.

  • Cost: $425 per unit (typically only one is needed per facility).

  • Key Limitations to Explain:

    • There is no remote oversight or proactive support from Cell-Guardian.

    • Data storage is limited to 30 days.

    • Software upgrades are manual (via thumb drive or tunnel-in) and cost $700 per device.

    • The RAHM BOX itself has a separate $350/year warranty.
